Beto O’Rourke Says He Will Buy Back Texans’ AR-15s As Governor of Texas

Beto O'Rourke spoke at SXSW on Saturday and was asked to clarify his position on confiscatory gun control. He gave his direct answer only, "after some prodding," which means he was trying to weasel his way around the question, and when he realized he couldn't, he just flat out said his actual position.

"I don't think anyone should have one," said O'Rourke. "And if I can find the consensus within the Legislature to have a law in the state of Texas that allows us to buy those AK-47s and AR-15s back, we will."

Even after giving his direct answer, he tried to weasel his way out of it by calling it a buyback. Anti-Gun Politicians like BETO do this all the time because BUY Back Sounds a lot nicer than Gun Confiscation.

Buy Back Makes it sound like you'll have the option to sell your guns back to the government, but when it passes, you quickly realize it's not optional; it's mandatory! That makes a Gun Buy Back literally a Gun Confiscation.
